Ian de Leon on Nora Aunor’s Estate: ‘It remains confidential’
IAN DE LEON – The actor addressed the issue surrounding the properties allegedly left behind by their late mother, National Artist Nora Aunor.
Recently, Ian attended the special celebrity screening of “FANEY,” a tribute film honoring his mother. The screening was held on May 21 at Gateway 2 Mall, coinciding with what would have been Nora’s 72nd birthday. The event drew a large crowd of devoted Noranians and featured esteemed actresses and directors Laurice Guillen and Gina Alajar. Ian was joined by his brother, Kenneth de Leon.
Before the screening, Ian briefly spoke with members of the media, where he was asked about the properties reportedly left behind by their mother. Amid public curiosity and speculation, Ian responded firmly, stating that details about the estate remain private. “It remains confidential. Siyempre yung mga inaayos rin namin, yung sa personal na mga bagay,” he said. “Beyond that, it’s confidential. I hope people will respect that.” He gently reminded the public that some matters should remain within the family.

Ian also expressed heartfelt gratitude to director Adolf Alix Jr. for completing the film in time for their mother’s birthday. The film—produced by Frontrow International, Intele Builders, Noble Wolf, and AQ Films—serves as a tribute to Nora’s legacy. Ian praised the director and the entire team for their sincere effort and love in honoring his mother’s memory. “And of course, siyempre ang inspiration rin po namin dito is our mom. Thank God na na-release ito on her birthday. Para sa amin po siyempre, kahit paano,” he shared.
He also acknowledged the unwavering support of fans. Many Noranians have been regularly visiting Nora’s grave at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City. Ian said he is deeply touched by their continued devotion, including that of fans from around the world.

He fondly recalled joyful family moments at their mother’s home, especially seeing how happy her grandchildren were in her presence—memories that no material thing could replace. Despite the personal and public challenges they’ve faced, Ian emphasized that their family remains strong and united. Growing up wasn’t easy, especially with their unique family circumstances, but he said their faith helped them overcome life’s trials.
