Dolly de Leon to Play Twins in Avatar Season 2
DOLLY DE LEON – The Golden Globe nominee is taking another major step in her international career as she joins the cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2.
She will portray the twin characters Lo and Li, the firebending mentors of Azula, princess of the Fire Nation. Expressing her excitement, Dolly said she is “extremely honored” to be part of the live-action adaptation of the beloved animated series. She also shared her joy in taking on the unique challenge of playing twin roles, calling it a “dream come true” and a rewarding creative experience.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a fantasy adventure series originally created as an animated show. It follows Aang, a young boy who is the “Avatar,” the only one capable of mastering all four elements: water, earth, fire, and air. The story is set in a world divided into nations based on these elements, and the Avatar’s role is to maintain balance and peace. The live-action version, produced by Netflix, premiered in February 2024 and received positive feedback, leading to the renewal of Seasons 2 and 3 in March of the same year.
Dolly’s casting comes shortly after the premiere of her first American television show, Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2. This marks another milestone in her growing presence in international entertainment.
