Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Issues Statement over Results of May 2025 Midterm Elections
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President, through a statement, expressed her disappointment over the results of the 2025 Elections.
Prior to the election results coming out, Vice Pres. Duterte was confident that “more than 2” allies of their family who are senatorial candidates may win. She endorsed Senator Imee Marcos, Las Piñas district representative Camille Villar, and the PDP-Laban candidates.

Vice Pres. Duterte campaigned fervently for her senatorial slate in the different local campaigns. According to her, the senatorial candidates she endorsed share a common ground of a peaceful and prosperous Philippines.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte called on the Filipinos not to vote for the candidates of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. In the 2025 Midterm Elections, the Chief Executive endorsed the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago senatorial slate. The grand alliance is a merging of several huge political parties in the country including Marcos Jr.’s Partido Federal ng Pilipinas.
