Negros Oriental (NegOr) Governor Roel Degamo on Wednesday said that they’re monitoring 38 people for suspected 2019 novel coronavirus infection.
This, after 37 hotel staff and a pedicab driver came in close contact with the first two confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines.

He added that a Taiwan national, who arrived in Negros Oriental with flu symptoms, was also placed in an isolated room.
Governor Roel Degamo prayed that no one was and will be infected by the 2019 novel coronavirus.
The two confirmed cases in the Philippines, a woman together with her male companion, were from Wuhan in China and they took flights to Hong Kong, Cebu, and Dumaguete before arriving in Manila.
Earlier, Governor Roel Degamo announced the suspension of classes in public schools in Negros Oriental until Friday, February 7, as precautionary measures against 2019 novel coronavirus.
