BINI Addresses Leaked Clip
BINI – The Nation’s Girl Group has spoken out regarding the controversy surrounding a now-viral video involving three of its members: Jhoanna, Stacey, and Colet.
The short 8-second clip shows them casually interacting with Ethan David and Shawn Castro, members of the all-male group GAT. The video sparked public outrage after netizens accused the BINI members of making light of grooming—a highly sensitive and serious issue.
In the video, female voices—allegedly belonging to the BINI members—can be heard making comments referencing a 13-year-old girl, which many interpreted as joking about inappropriate behavior. Although only one BINI member is visible on camera, the public has linked the voices to Jhoanna, Stacey, and Colet.

On Thursday evening, BINI released a formal statement acknowledging the issue. They confirmed that the video captured a private moment with friends and expressed regret over the unintended harm it caused. “We take full accountability. Nagkamali kami. We deeply regret our mistake and sincerely apologize to our Blooms, friends, families, and the general public,” the group stated.

The Nation’s Girl Group emphasized that they are not offering excuses and are committed to learning from the incident. They asked for understanding and a chance to grow: “We humbly ask for a chance to reflect on and learn from our mistakes and continue to work on becoming better versions of ourselves. Maraming salamat po sa inyong malasakit, suporta, at pang-unawa.”

The group’s statement comes amid mixed reactions online. While many criticized the girls, some fans defended them, arguing that the video may have been edited or taken out of context. Supporters also noted that Ethan and Shawn were the ones performing actions in the clip, while the BINI members may have only responded verbally.
