KARLA ESTRADA – In a candid moment, Karla Estrada confessed she once felt slighted by Ogie Diaz, saying, “Naka-magkano ka sa content mo?”
In a candid one-on-one interview, actress and TV personality Karla Estrada revealed that she once felt upset with veteran entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz. The tension stemmed from how Diaz publicly discussed issues involving her son, actor Daniel Padilla. Despite the emotional sting, Karla emphasized that she chooses to value their long-standing friendship over any resentment.
When directly asked by Diaz if she had been angry with him, Karla didn’t hold back. “Of course! Siyempre may mga salitang hindi nakakatuwa. Pero mas malawak ang pang-unawa ko, eh… pinagkatiwala ko sa’yo ang anak ko na maging ninong,” she shared. Her honesty reflected the depth of her emotions, but also her maturity in handling the situation.
Even with the misunderstanding, Karla made it clear that their friendship remains intact. She said she doesn’t believe in shallow connections and values relationships where laughter and genuine care prevail. “Hindi ako naniniwala sa mababaw na pagkakaibigan… kapag nagkikita tayo, lagi tayong nagtatawanan,” she added. At one point, she even teased Ogie, “Infernes, ‘yung buong pangyayaring iyon, naka-magkano ka sa content mo?”— a light-hearted jab that drew laughter from both sides.
The interview also touched on Karla’s attempt to reconcile Ogie and her son Daniel during a past ABS-CBN Ball. Diaz admitted he wasn’t ready for a reconciliation at the time, and Daniel was still distant.
As for the highly publicized breakup between Daniel and Kathryn Bernardo, Karla admitted it was painful for her as a mother. Nonetheless, she expressed unwavering faith in her son’s resilience and character. “Alam ko ang kakayanan ng anak ko bilang tao,” she firmly stated.
