Are Bimby and Cassandra More Than Just Friends?
BIMBY AQUINO and CASSANDRA YNARES – The two have caught the attention of many after being seen together at a community caucus in Sitio Mansetta, Barangay Cupang, Antipolo, on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Their appearance together brought excitement and kilig to the local crowd, sparking curiosity about the nature of their relationship.
Bimby, 18, is the youngest son of TV host and actress Kris Aquino and former basketball player James Yap. Cassandra, 17, is the eldest daughter of Antipolo Mayor Junjun Ynares and Andrea “Andeng” Bautista-Ynares. The two have known each other for some time and are reportedly close friends.
This wasn’t their first public appearance together. On April 5, Bimby also attended a youth event organized by Cassandra in Antipolo. The event launched “Cassma,” a youth foundation focused on promoting emotional and mental well-being among students. Celebrities like Dionela and Arra San Agustin were also present, but many attendees noticed Bimby and Cassandra’s chemistry, which sparked questions about a possible romance.
Although Cassandra was invited to Bimby’s 18th birthday celebration on April 19, she was unable to attend due to a delayed flight from Hong Kong. Despite that, people were glad to see them reunite at the Antipolo caucus, where they performed a duet and danced with the crowd, delighting attendees.
Cassandra began gaining public attention after her appearance at the recent ABS-CBN Ball, prompting speculation about a potential showbiz career. However, she currently prioritizes her education and ongoing community projects. Bimby is also focused on his studies, while continuing to support his mother, Kris, who is undergoing treatment.
Kris Aquino shared that she is proud of her son and hopes to see him serve in public office someday, possibly as a mayor. She described Bimby as honest, compassionate, and good with people—traits that were clearly seen during the Antipolo event.
While Bimby and Cassandra maintain that they are just friends, many can’t help but wonder if there might be something more. Regardless, their strong friendship and influence on today’s youth are already being admired.
