Sara Duterte To PNPA Graduates 2025: “Sana ay lagi ninyong piliin ang tama”

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Gives Message for PNPA Graduates 2025

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President seemingly alluded to the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in her message for the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) graduates 2025.

It is the season of school graduations once again. Pres. Bongbong Marcos was the guest of honor at the closing rites of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Singlawin Class of 2025. While she was not physically present at the event, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also issued a message for the 2025 graduates of the PNPA.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has returned to the Philippines from The Hague early this month. She stayed in the Netherlands for three (3) weeks to finalize the team of her father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, for his legal battle before the International Criminal Court. He was arrested last March 11 and was brought to The Hague.

Duterte is currently under the custody of the ICC where he is faced with an alleged crime against humanity due to his war on drugs. His arrest was controversial. Senator Imee Marcos even recently released her findings from the Senate investigation over Duterte’s arrest — which her brother, PBBM, disagreed with.

In her message for the PNPA Sinaglawin Class of 2025’s graduation, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was seemingly referring to the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She started her message by congratulating the graduates as they begin a life dedicated to the service of the Filipino people and the country. According to her, they have chosen a path that is “rough, demanding, and may even be extremely perilous”. But it is also the right path for them to serve the country.

According to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, surrendering a Filipino who genuinely served the country to the hands of the foreigners is allegedly unforgivable. She stressed to the graduates that they will be “patriots who will stand for the truth, die for what is right, and protect the nation”.

Vice Pres. Duterte also reminded the graduates of the PNPA Sinaglawin Class of 2025 of their courage and incredible strength that brought them to the persons that they are on day of their graduation. She also reminded the graduates that there is no honor for those who will betray the interest of the Filipino people and the country.

“Ang lahat ng ating ginagawa ay para sa Diyos, sa Bayan, at sa bawat Pamilyang Pilipino,” the Vice President said in her message to the PNPA graduates.

Following her 3-week stay at The Hague, Netherlands, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that her name is included on the list of personalities that might be arrested by the ICC. According to her, there are many names in the list including Sen. Bato dela Rosa’s name as well. He was the PNP chief during the implementation of the war on drugs of the Duterte administration.
