Andre Paras Calls Out Netizen for Shaming His Brother Kobe
ANDRE PARAS – The actor took to Facebook to defend his younger brother, basketball player Kobe Paras, after a netizen publicly criticized him online. Kobe has been the subject of gossip due to rumored issues in his relationship with actress Kyline Alcantara.
In a rare and lengthy Facebook post, Andre called out a content creator who had posted multiple times portraying Kobe negatively. One screenshot showed the netizen’s profile, while another featured a video reel of Kobe at a party with the words “Lifestyle na gusto niya” and a caption that read, “Life style niya parang nakawala sa hawla.”
A final screenshot showed Kobe partying with friends, including women, with a caption that read, “So ito ang gusto mo sa buhay mo Kobe walwal lang nang walwal? With these guys at sino naman yang babae na Yan?” The post also included hashtags like #KobeParas and #partyboy, suggesting that the uploader, a fan of Kyline, disapproved of Kobe’s lifestyle.
Andre responded calmly, stating that Kobe was simply out with friends at a club—an appropriate and legal place to enjoy and make noise. He even joked that it would be more unusual if someone went to a club just to read or sleep.
He went on to question the netizen’s intentions, saying that if they truly cared about the Kyline-Kobe relationship (nicknamed “KyBe”), they wouldn’t be trying to ruin Kobe’s image online. He also clarified that the women in the photos were the girlfriends of Kobe’s friends and that the uploader should have done proper research before making assumptions.
Andre further accused the content creator of using Kobe’s private life to attract social media attention for clicks and income. He warned them not to delete the videos, calling it “tampering with evidence,” and emphasized his right as an older brother to defend Kobe.
After the post gained attention, the netizen deleted their content and issued an apology, admitting they had overreacted. Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Kobe’s father, Benjie Paras, denied any breakup rumors and confirmed that Kobe and Kyline were still together, recently spotted enjoying drinks with friends.
