So when her best friend finally bought what she believed to be an iPhone 13 Pro for P23,000 through Facebook Marketplace, she was over the moon. They met at the mall, and that’s when things started to feel off.

The phone looked like an iPhone, but the moment it was turned on, Android features started showing up icons, navigation bar, and even the Google Play Store. Instead of the familiar Apple logo during startup, it displayed “Powered by Android.”

Her best friend, still unaware, proudly showed off the phone and was already calling herself an iOS user. She even planned to video call later using “Facetime,” not realizing the phone didn’t even support Apple’s system.

The lady netizen didn’t want to spoil her friend’s joy, especially since she had only ordered siomai for lunch, hinting she was low on funds. Still, she eventually told her the truth with the help of her older sister, who’s an actual iPhone user.

Her friend was heartbroken and scolded by her father, and now they’re trying to find the seller. While it was a tough lesson, it also became a reminder to be extra careful when buying gadgets online.
