Statement of Malacañang on Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s “Dumpster” Remark over PH
Malacañang reacted to the “dumpster” remark of Vice President Sara Duterte who claimed that the country seems to be on a decline.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is currently in The Hague, Netherlands as she sets the legal team of her father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, for his trial before the International Criminal Court. The former President was arrested last March 11 over an ICC arrest warrant.

The older Duterte was arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Manila upon his arrival from Hong Kong. According to Malacañang, the government only performed its job over the arrest of the former President. The Palace stressed that the government acted on it in lieu of its commitment with the Interpol.
Malacañang also claimed that Duterte’s arrest is a surrender of a Filipino citizen who is faced with accusations of crimes. The Palace emphasized that it is a different case.

The Philippine government and Pres. Bongbong Marcos earned a lot of criticisms following the arrest of former Pres. Duterte. The supporters of the Duterte family are calling on the government to bring home former Pres. Duterte. There are also calls for the resignation of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that the Philippines must be working on its way up but it is seemingly heading on a different direction. The Vice President is in The Hague for more than a week now.
“At this point, we should be working our way up but it seems that we are working to go to the dumpster,” the Vice President said based on a report on GMA News.

Based on the report, Malacañang Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro stressed that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is the one missing in the Philippines now. She stressed that the Vice President is probably not seeing the works of the administration because she’s not in the country.
”Hindi ba siya ang nawawala sa Pilipinas ngayon? Kung walang nakikita siya na ginagawa ng administrasyon, malamang ay dahil nasa ibang bansa siya,” Castro said.
The Malacañang Press Officer further expressed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is in the country working while Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is missing. The statement of the Palace came amid a looming impeachment trial against the Vice President.
“Ang Pangulo po ay nasa bansa natin ngayon, sa Pilipinas, nagtatrabaho. Samantalang ang Bise Presidente ay nawawala po,” the Palace Press Officer said.
Previously, Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte stressed that it was his father who gave Marcos Sr.’s father a hero’s burial. Malacañang told Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte that Marcos Jr. already thanked FPRRD.
