Keanna Reeves Once Thought Rustom Padilla Liked Her
KEANNA REEVES – The actress and comedian recalled during her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda that when they were housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition in 2006, she thought Rustom Padilla, now known as BB Gandanghari, was going to court her.
She remembered a special moment inside the PBB house when “Kuya” gave them red wine and set up a romantic atmosphere, making her believe that Rustom was about to confess his feelings.
“Akala ko Tito Boy, liligawan niya ako,” Keanna said, laughing. “Pinainom kami ng red wine ni Kuya, tapos kami lang dalawa parang binigyan kami ng moment. Akala ko syempre excited na ko noon na parang magtatapat siya sa akin na gusto niya ako. Parang alam mo ‘yung in reality hindi pala. Pareho pala kami ng gusto.”

Her story quickly became popular, making host Boy Abunda and guest Myrtle Sarrosa burst into laughter. After the show, Keanna also jokingly told Rustom, “Sana i-delay mo muna. Tayo muna tapos tsaka ka na magtapat.”
It was during his time in the PBB house that Rustom openly shared his real identity. In an emotional talk with Keanna, he recalled a painful childhood memory when his father punished him after catching him wearing girls’ clothes.

“Naglalaro kami ng mga kapatid ko, hindi ko alam kung bakit ako nakadamit-pambabae. Dumating bigla ‘yong tatay ko. Hawak ako sa isang kamay, sinisinturon ako sa isang kamay,” Rustom said. He explained that this moment sparked his confusion about himself. It was only when he moved to the U.S. in 2002 that he fully accepted who he was. In 2015, he finally introduced himself as BB Gandanghari.
