Diners Get Sick After Eating at a Seafood Restaurant in Bacolod
BACOLOD CITY – A seafood restaurant in the City of Smiles is under fire after a group of diners experienced severe food poisoning.
Annlyn Ibanez took to social media to express her frustration with Rojo’s Floating and Seafood Restaurant (Pahanocoy Branch) after she and her teammates fell ill following their visit. Ibanez shared that she and her team, including their leader, dined at the restaurant for an unlimited breakfast buffet to celebrate their time together before parting ways.
However, what was meant to be a joyful gathering quickly turned into a nightmare. By evening, several of them began experiencing severe stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. Some were forced to rest early, while others struggled through their work shifts due to the intense discomfort.

“Di hamak ang balik2 sa cr kg purugait sng sakit sng tiyan,” Ibanez recalled. Seeking assistance, she immediately reached out to the restaurant through their official channels, but her messages were ignored.

Even more concerning, one of her teammates had messaged the restaurant earlier in the evening to report similar symptoms but was blocked after their message was seen. “Pano bi kng sa kada my magkaon da kapin pa mga bata nasakitan tiyan wala lg kamo ya labot?? importante my sales kamo???” Ibanez questioned.

Some of her teammates later developed a fever as their symptoms worsened. Frustrated by the restaurant’s lack of response, she is now calling on Rojo’s Floating and Seafood Restaurant to take responsibility and provide a solution for those affected.

As of now, the restaurant has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, food safety is a critical concern, and businesses in the food industry must prioritize hygiene and customer welfare. Consumers are now waiting for the restaurant to address the issue and ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
