Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Advice To Voters in 2025 Midterm Elections

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President advises voters in the 2025 Midterm Elections to check on the accomplishments and platforms of the candidates.

The 2025 Midterm Elections is fast approaching. It is set on May 12 and the candidates are now in the campaign period. The Commission on Elections or Comelec has previously released the final list of senatorial aspirants and it includes Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

Senators Christopher “Bong” Go and Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa are also running for re-election in the 2025 Midterm Elections. Former Sen. Ping Lacson, action star Lito Lapid, former news broadcaster Erwin Tulfo, and game show host Willie Revillame are also included in the final list of the senatorial candidates in the upcoming election.

Ahead of the poll, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has given an advice to the voters of the 2025 Midterm Election. Based on a report on GMA News, the Vice President advises the voters to look into the accomplishments and platforms of the candidates and not be swayed by their surnames.

Speaking to the media, Duterte advised the voters to hear the promises of the candidates and check on their capabilities. Based on the report, the Vice President told the voters to not vote someone because he/she is a Duterte or a child of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte — telling people to not let the last name be a part of the criteria.

“Ngayong halalan, pakinggan natin ang mga pangako ng mga pulitiko, tingnan natin ang nagawa nila noon, ano ang kapasidad, ano ang abilidad,” the Vice President said.

Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is endorsing the senatorial candidates of the PDP-Laban. According to the Vice President, she believes that the power to change the current state of the country is in the hands of the Filipino people through voting the deserving people who are honest and diligent in public service.

The Vice President assured the voters that her camp is one with the people in praying for the success of their advocacy for the welfare of the community and the fellow Filipino people. Previously, in Cebu, Vice Pres. Duterte told the Cebuanos of their right “to show anger to the government” and it did not sit well with Malacañang.
