After Visiting the NBI, Jam Ignacio Flies to Japan
JAM IGNACIO – The fiancé of DJ Jellie Aw flew to Japan after visiting the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) following the assault incident.
On February 21, 2025, Jam Ignacio made a discreet visit to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office, where he met with NBI Director Jaime Santiago and other officials.
His visit followed his failure to appear at the NBI on February 20, when he was expected to address the physical abuse complaint filed by his fiancée, Jellie Aw. During his conversation with Santiago, it was revealed that the NBI would proceed with filing the case in court, where Jam could then submit his counter-affidavit.
Jam’s legal counsel, Atty. Oscar Karaan, previously stated that they were prepared to face the case before the appropriate fiscal’s office if necessary. On February 20, Karaan told ABS-CBN News that they had informed the NBI that Jam would not attend the scheduled hearing and that they would respond to any case filed against him in the proper venue.
At the time, Jam’s lawyer also expressed hope for a possible settlement between both parties. He mentioned that Jam was trying to reconcile with Jellie to resolve the matter privately and avoid further public scrutiny on social media.
However, on February 22, Jam shared a series of Instagram Stories suggesting that he had traveled to Japan. His first post showed an airplane wing, indicating he was on a flight. This was followed by a photo of a train station along the Keihin-Tohoku Line, which connects Saitama, Kawaguchi, Tokyo, Kawasaki, and Yokohama. He also posted images of ramen and gyoza, seemingly enjoying his time abroad.
Meanwhile, Jam has not issued any further statements since apologizing to Jellie for the incident. However, Jellie has made it clear that their wedding will no longer push through, despite having forgiven him. In an interview on February 21, she emphasized that she could not accept Jam’s reasoning that he acted out of exhaustion and frustration, stating that such behavior could happen again if she gave him another chance.
Jellie also provided an update on her recovery, revealing that she still had bruises around her eye and a broken tooth but was scheduled for dental treatment soon. While their relationship appears beyond repair, the two remain connected on Instagram, still following each other.
