Netizens Flexed Their Precious Meteor Garden Collectibles Following Barbie Hsu’s Death
Several netizens shared their precious memorabilia from the famous Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden following Barbie Hsu’s death.
Earlier this week, the Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu known for her role as San Chai in Meteor Garden, has passed away at 48. The celebrity reportedly died from pneumonia, which developed after she caught the flu while on a family trip to Japan.
Recently, a Facebook users like Rosalyn Leaño Famanila and Nancy Ruiz posted photos and videos of their Meteor Garden collectibles. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Famanila shared her carefully preserved posters, collected back when she was still single. Despite the years that have passed, those posters still hang in her room.
Rosalyn recalled rushing home every afternoon just to catch Meteor Garden on TV, long before smartphones and gadgets became popular. Back then, simple things like posters brought her immense joy, as she eagerly followed the story of Shan Cai, played by the late Barbie Hsu, whose recent passing saddened many fans.
Another netizen, Nancy Ruiz, also shared her collection of posters, pocket pictures, trading cards, and even teks, a popular collectible card game from the early 2000s.
The female fan reminisced about saving part of her school allowance just to buy F4 cards, recalling how she would set aside P2 from her daily budget of P7 to grow her collection. After school, she’d rush home to watch the show, excited to see her favorite characters on screen.
Nancy even remembered friendly teks battles with classmates, carefully keeping every F4 card she won, no matter how worn out. She laughed about her obsession, admitting she once wanted to “borrow” a classmate’s notebook just because it had an F4 cover.
