Marcos Jr. admitted that he told the House members not to file an impeachment complaint against Duterte. Meanwhile, it is unclear if the recent meeting of the President with some House members has something to do with the impeachment complaint filed against the Vice President.

Aside from the previous statement of Marcos Jr. wherein he stressed that an impeachment plan will not benefit any Filipino and will only tie up the Senate and the House of Representatives, Malacañang also issued a statement after an impeachment complaint was filed against Duterte.

Malacañang clarified that the office of Pres. Bongbong Marcos has nothing to do with the impeachment complaint versus Vice Pres. Duterte. Presidential sister Senator Imee Marcos is also against the impeachment plan.
