Filipina OFW Expresses Dismay Over Unsafe Luncheon Meat Purchased from Supermarket
A Filipina OFW shared her alarming experience with a canned luncheon meat product she bought from a supermarket.
Antey Jhen, a Facebook user, shared photos of inedible luncheon meat she purchased from a supermarket. The post quickly spread like wildfire on social media and elicited reactions from netizens.
Jhen bought the can just a day earlier, expecting it to be a quick and convenient meal for her family. However, when she opened the can, she was shocked to find the meat inside had turned almost black.
A Filipina overseas worker recently took to social media to share her alarming experience with a canned luncheon meat product she bought from a local supermarket. When she opened the can, she was shocked to find the meat inside had turned almost black.
Luncheon meat is her go-to when she’s too tired to cook after a long day at work, and it’s also a favorite dish of her youngest child. However, her excitement quickly turned to worry when she saw the alarming color and condition of the meat.
Upon checking, Antey found that the expiration date on the can indicated 2028, which should have guaranteed the product’s freshness for years. Despite the date, the luncheon meat’s condition was clearly far from edible, prompting her to warn others to be cautious.
The Filipino OFW advised her followers to take extra care when buying canned goods, especially since the contents can sometimes be spoiled despite the printed expiration date.
Many netizens expressed similar experiences with canned products, while others emphasized the importance of examining food items carefully before consuming them.
