Winners of Magpasikat 2024
MAGPASIKAT 2024 – Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, MC, and Lassy were named the winners of this year’s competition on “It’s Showtime!”
Their victory came after a tough judging process, where the panel—including Gabbi Garcia, Donny Pangilinan, Alice Dixson, Direk Rory Quintos, and former ABS-CBN president Freddie “FMG” Garcia—found it challenging to choose a winner because all contestants performed exceptionally well.
Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN’s Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast, presented the winning team with a grand prize of ₱300,000. Overwhelmed with emotion, the winners hugged their co-hosts, with Kim expressing her surprise at their win by saying, “Grabe, ‘di ko alam mananalo kami!” Ogie also took a moment to thank their hardworking crew, which led to a joyful celebration onstage.
The winning team plans to donate their prize money to the Angat Buhay Foundation to support relief efforts for those affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, highlighting their commitment to helping others.
In the competition, Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez secured second place, while Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz took third. Vidanes delivered a heartfelt speech, thanking “It’s Showtime” for bringing joy to viewers over the past 15 years. She emphasized the strong sense of community within the show, stating, “Rest assured that we will continue. We will continue to be with you and fight with you.”
The winning team’s performance focused on the importance of rest and self-care. It featured an original song by Ogie, a skit about personal struggles by MC and Lassy, and a circus-themed dance by Kim. After the show, Kim shared her gratitude on Instagram, stating, “I consider myself incredibly lucky to be part of this team,” reflecting on her experience working with such talented individuals.
