During an intense NCAA basketball matchup between Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) and Arellano University, a frightening incident occurred that left fans and players deeply concerned. With only eight seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, LPU cager JM Bravo collapsed on the court after a severe collision with Arellano’s Renzo Abierra. The game was immediately stopped as players and medical staff rushed to assist Bravo.

The incident happened when Bravo’s head and face collided with Abierra’s back and shoulder while both were scrambling for the ball. The impact left Bravo unconscious on the floor. His teammates urgently tried to revive him by shaking him, but their efforts were in vain as Bravo remained unresponsive.

Medical personnel quickly acted, placing Bravo on a stretcher before rushing him to Cardinal Santos Hospital, the nearest medical facility to the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan City. The scene left the audience silent with worry as they watched Bravo being carried off the court.
