Willie Revillame Has No Senate Plans Yet: “Pag nanalo na ako, doon ko na lang iisipin ‘yon”

Willie Revillame Speaks About His Senate Run

WILLIE REVILLAME – The host of “Wil To Win” sparked discussions during an interview with “One News” regarding his Senate run in the 2025 midterm elections.

When asked by host Gretchen Ho about his proposed legislation if elected, Willie stated, “Wala pa (akong mga panukala) hindi pa kasi ako nanalo.” He acknowledged that people might criticize him for not having a platform but emphasized, “Pag nanalo na ako doon ko na lang iisipin ‘yon.” Willie urged people not to rush him, explaining that he had just filed his candidacy.

Notably, Willie submitted his certificate of candidacy at the last minute on October 8 at The Tent City of Manila Hotel. In his speech during the filing, he highlighted his desire to run for the Senate to help the public, as well as his concerns about ongoing conflicts within the Senate.

His candidacy is viewed as an attempt to make a positive impact, but he maintains that concrete proposals will come only after he secures a victory in the elections. Willie’s candidness about his lack of a platform reflects his focus on winning first before outlining specific legislative plans.

Meanwhile, Cristy Fermin expressed her doubts about Willie’s entry into politics, questioning his motives and readiness. She emphasized that he seemed to be entering without a clear plan other than to entertain and help the poor. Cristy challenged Willie’s approach, asking, “Bakit ka pumasok?” and criticized him for not having a concrete plan.

She pointed out that while Willie claims his main goal is to help the needy, many elderly individuals lack access to medicine and food, suggesting that his public image as a generous entertainer might not translate into effective laws. She asked, “Asan ang batas, bakit hindi ka nakahanda?” Cristy also highlighted Willie’s bold statements about not needing money and not being a thief, questioning the honesty of such claims and suggesting that they could create enemies even before the campaign starts.
