Latest Update on Doc Willie Ong’s Health Condition
DOC WILLIE ONG – The well-known doctor and vlogger recently shared a significant update about his health journey: his sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, has shrunk by 60% in just six weeks.
This remarkable improvement brought a sense of relief, especially with the PET scan results showing a substantial reduction in active cancer cells. The bright spots indicating cancer cells on the scan have visibly decreased.
Dr. Ang Peng Tiam, Dr. Ong’s cancer specialist from Singapore, expressed surprise at the progress, stating, “I have not seen a sarcoma respond as quickly as yours.” This improvement is a testament to Dr. Ong’s determination, faith, and the unwavering support he has received from his loved ones and medical team.
When Dr. Ong was initially diagnosed, the outlook seemed bleak. The 16 cm tumor was wrapped around major blood vessels, leading other doctors to consider it untreatable and terminal. Despite these challenges, Dr. Ong remained optimistic. With the help of his brother and a patient of Dr. Ang Peng Tiam, he was quickly transported to Singapore while in critical condition.
After six weeks of intensive treatment, Dr. Ong’s health improved beyond expectations. Sarcoma is known as one of the most challenging cancers to treat, but under the dedicated care of Dr. Ang Peng Tiam and his team, Dr. Ong’s tumor responded positively to the treatment.
Dr. Ong took a moment to express his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported him during this difficult period. He attributes his recovery to God’s guidance, which he believes has shaped his life’s purpose. He also thanked the many people who prayed for him, his skilled medical team, his family, and especially his wife, Doc Liza, and their two daughters, who stayed by his side throughout his journey. Dr. Ong emphasized that his journey is not only about his own healing but also about his mission to improve the healthcare system in the Philippines.
