Rosmar Tan is Running for Councilor

ROSMAR TAN – The social media influencer and businesswoman is running for councilor in the first district of Manila.

Rosmar, whose real name is Rosemarie Peñamora Tan-Pamulaklakin, is a prominent vlogger, entrepreneur, and CEO of the skincare brand Rosmar International. She has gained significant popularity on TikTok, amassing over 20.8 million followers and 1.2 billion likes.

Pamulaklakin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Far Eastern University. At just 19 years old, she started her first business, Mysterious Madre Cacao, which began as a response to a skin condition in a bulldog she adopted. This venture led her to develop a successful skincare line based on the madre de cacao plant, resulting in impressive daily earnings of up to ₱200,000.

She went viral in 2021 when her parents surprised her with ₱1,000,000 in cash during her wedding dance. In a similar gesture in 2023, she gifted her sister ₱1,000,000 at her sister’s wedding. Pamulaklakin has also diversified her business interests, owning a pet shop, a samgyupsal restaurant, a massage parlor, a thrift store, and a fish store, along with significant investments in real estate, including 10 resorts and 30 Torrens titles.

However, she faced controversy in June 2024 when she, along with two others, was declared persona non grata in Palawan due to alleged disrespectful behavior and legal violations. Rosmar Tan is married and has two daughters, balancing her personal life with her entrepreneurial pursuits.

Earlier, Rosmar Tan filed her Certificate of Candidacy to run for councilor in the first district of Manila. She couldn’t hold back her tears after filing her COC as an independent candidate. According to Rosmar, she plans to advocate for providing maintenance medication to senior citizens in her district.
