Jaime Zobel de Ayala and Lance Gokongwei Are Not Involved in Cryptocurrency Investments

Jaime Zobel de Ayala, Lance Gokongwei no involvement in any cryptocurrency investments

JAIME AUGUSTO ZOBEL DE AYALA and LANCE GOKONGWEI – The business tycoons have no involvement in any cryptocurrency investments, as clarified by Ayala Corporation and JG Summit Holdings in recent public advisories. The advisories were issued to warn the public about rising cryptocurrency scams that misuse the names of prominent figures like Zobel and Gokongwei to promote fraudulent projects such as “Momentum Capital” and “Tesler Code.”

Zobel, the chairman of Ayala Corporation, and Gokongwei, the president and CEO of JG Summit, are not connected to these or any other cryptocurrency ventures. Both corporations emphasized that their executives do not endorse or participate in any cryptocurrency investments.

To combat the spread of these scams, Ayala Corporation and JG Summit Holdings are taking steps to prevent the proliferation of fake websites, social media pages, and advertisements that falsely associate their names with cryptocurrency schemes. They also urged the public to remain cautious and scrutinize suspicious platforms, web pages, and links to avoid falling victim to such scams.

Meanwhile, cryptocurrency scams are becoming more advanced, taking advantage of the lack of rules and the anonymity in the digital currency world. Common scams include phishing attacks that create fake websites to steal login information, Ponzi schemes that promise unrealistic returns, and “rug pulls” where developers suddenly take all the funds from a project. Scammers also set up fake initial coin offerings (ICOs) and exchanges, pretend to be famous people, and use “pump and dump” schemes to falsely raise and then drop the value of a cryptocurrency.

Other methods include malware attacks that steal private keys and fake airdrops that trick users into giving up their assets or paying fees. To protect yourself, research carefully, use secure wallets, check the legitimacy of platforms and communications, and stick to well-known exchanges and investment options. Being informed and cautious is crucial to avoiding these scams.
