CAT ARAMBULO – The social media influencer and socialite has issued a statement regarding her viral video during the recent Typhoon Carina and monsoon rains.
Cat, a social media influencer and socialite, made headlines due to a video of her during the recent Typhoon Carina and monsoon rains. In the clip, she can be seen having a conversation with her children inside their vehicle while navigating a flooded road caused by Typhoon Carina and the monsoon rains.
According to them, it was the first time they experienced driving through such a flooded road in Manila. Additionally, Cat’s children expressed their desire to play with a floatie or go wakeboarding in the flood.
However, the video went viral, garnering backlash from netizens. Among those who reacted to the video is actress Bella Padilla. In her latest Instagram post on Saturday, July 27, Cat expressed her deep apologies for her insensitivity.
“I deeply apologize for my insensitivity and my actions, during a time of crisis. I hear you and I will use this as a learning opportunity for myself and to teach my kids to be more socially aware and active,” she said. I am now focusing my efforts on providing relief to different communities. My prayer go out to everyone affected,” she added.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Carina, internationally known as Gaemi, caused significant destruction in the Philippines. The typhoon resulted in 22 fatalities due to flooding and landslides worsened by heavy monsoon rains. As of the latest update, emergency efforts are underway to address the situation.
Among those who have initiated help for the victims of the weather disturbance are showbiz couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. They donated over 700 relief packs to the GMA Kapuso Foundation, which spearheaded the relief operations. This effort was crucial in assisting communities severely impacted by the recent natural disasters.
