Andi Eigenmann Says Jaclyn Jose Was Hurt When She Left Entertainment Industry
ANDI EIGENMANN – Youtuber Andi Eigenmann revealed her mom Jaclyn Jose was affected by her departure from showbiz.
Former actress and vlogger Andi Eigenmann became emotional while discussing her late mother, Jaclyn Jose. In an interview with Boy Abunda on the TV special “My Mother, My Story,” Andi talked about her decision to leave showbiz and move to Siargao.
The celebrity mom revealed that Jaclyn was saddened by her departure from the entertainment industry. Whenever they spoke, her mother would often encourage her to return to showbiz.
Andi said, “It took me a while to realize how heavy it must have been for her when I left the industry. One of her last few messages to me when she would send me messages and she would just miss me, magpaparamdam siya, she would always either sasabihin niya, ‘Oh, may offer ka’ or ‘Meron may gusto kumuha sa iyo sa isang pelikula’ or ‘ Sure ka ba? Baka naman puwede kang bumalik lang dito. Dalin mo ‘yung kids tapos mag-taping ka nang ganito.”
Initially, Andi believed Jaclyn’s disappointment stemmed from her leaving due to her talent. However, she later realized her mother’s sadness was much deeper.
“But what I realized was that it was more for her, you know, because leaving the industry was not just about leaving showbiz, it was about leaving a big part of her life. I literally just left that,” she explained.
Despite everything, Jaclyn Jose remained supportive of Andi’s choices. “I understand where you are coming from, wow yeah my mom must have missed me. My mom must have been sad, you know being with me away. But that’s the thing is that she didn’t make me feel it. She made me feel that it’s okay,” she said.
The former actress admitted that she and her mother had their disagreements, but their love for each other remained strong. “Kahit minsan, kahit kailan, walang moment na hindi kami proud sa isa’t isa, hindi kami fan sa isa’t isa.” she stated.
Her mother was always there for her, especially during challenging times in her career or life. Andi said she would never forget the love Jaclyn gave her.
“Napatunayan niya para sa akin masasabi ko na isa siyang evidence, siya at ako na ang pagmamahal puwede maging sapat. Kasi kahit hindi siya naging perpektong ina, sa buong buhay ko, lahat ng pagmamahal na binuhos niya sa akin, naging sapat para mapalaki ako or magpalaki siya ng tao na nasa isang magandang lugar sa buhay niya,” Andi emotionally shared.
Now that her mother has passed away, the vlogger wants to continue her mom’s legacy. She is still figuring out how to do this, but she is certain it will involve Jaclyn’s passion for filmmaking and acting.
“Hindi ko sinasabing ayoko mag-artista ulit or umarte ulit, hindi na ako babalik. Naghahanap pa rin siguro ako ng tamang pagkakataon para doon,” she concluded.
