JM De Guzman and Donnalyn Bartolome sparked dating rumors in late 2022, with the actor confirming a year later that he was pursuing the content creator. In February 2024, the actor expressed on Instagram his desire to eventually “marry” Bartolome.
Two months later, JM mentioned in a press conference that he had been courting her for nearly a year and was prepared to wait for her.
JM de Guzman and Donnalyn Bartolome are now “exclusively dating,” as revealed a month after the actor admitted he had been courting her for almost a year.
Donnalyn confirmed their relationship status in a vlog on Sunday, May 26, where she sang her version of Britney Spears’ hit song “Sometimes” to JM.
The video showed JM being taken to an elegant, palace-like date spot where he watched Donnalyn perform a song for him. After the performance, she unveiled a banner with the message, “JM, mahalaga ka sa akin” (JM, you’re important to me).
Donnalyn Bartolome said, “Alam kong matagal ka nang naghihintay ng sagot ko, kaya ngayon… JM mahalaga ka sa akin,” before the banner, initially showing “JM, Mahal K…,” was fully revealed to display the complete message for the actor.
De Guzman laughed at the banner, joking, “Akala ko mahal kita eh” (I thought you were going to say I love you).
JM de Guzman shared a reaction video where he is visibly delighted by Donnalyn Bartolome’s serenade. In the video, JM’s uncontrollable smile is evident as he watches Donnalyn’s performance.
JM admitted that he felt special because of the effort Donnalyn put in. However, Donnalyn also mentioned that she hasn’t given her answer to JM yet because they want to get to know each other better. “Gusto ko muna kaming mas magkilala bago ko siya sagutin,” said Donnalyn.
Their sweet interaction has become a hot topic on social media, with many feeling thrilled and eagerly anticipating the next chapter of their love story.
