Former Daring Actress Lala Montelibano is Now a Registered Nurse
LALA MONTELIBANO – The former daring actress, who started out in showbiz when she was only 13, is now a registered nurse.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, that out of the 11,116 candidates who took the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examinations on May 6 and 7, 7,749 passed. Among the successful passers is Elizabeth Bonzo Ramirez, a 52-year-old former actress known by her screen name Lala Montelibano. She’s thrilled to have fulfilled her dream of becoming a registered nurse despite her age.
Julius Babao, a TV5 news anchor and broadcast journalist, helped Lala with her review and examination for the Nurses Licensure Examinations. He introduced her to Carl Balita, the owner of the Carl Balita Review Center. Julius and actress Ara Mina also provided Lala with a laptop for her to use in the free nursing review offered by Carl.
Thanks to the assistance from Julius, Ara, and Carl, Lala passed the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examinations three months later and is now a registered nurse. Lala is deeply grateful to everyone who helped her achieve her dream, and Julius shared her heartfelt gratitude on his Unplugged YouTube Channel.
Lala expressed her emotions, saying, “Nabuo ako. Nabuo ang isang part ng nawawalang puzzle sa buhay ko. Isang b*ld star na ngayon RN [registered nurse] na. Thank you po. Thank you Jesus. Sabi nga ng Panginoon, yung mga nasa ibaba, itataas. Talagang salamat po Panginoon. Salamat sa mga may puso na kagaya nina Sir Julius, Dr. Carl, Miss Ara Mina na tumutulong sa mga nangangailangan. Thank you, Jesus, thank you for these people. May you bless them.”
Lala was discovered by the late talent manager Rey dela Cruz. She was only thirteen years old when she ventured into show business, starring in a daring movie.
