How To Process UMID ID Application at SSS

Are you planning to get an ID for a certain processing? You might like to consider getting a Unified Multi-purpose ID card which is issued by the Social Security System replacing the SS ID that were released to members before.
The Unified Multi-purpose ID card or UMID ID can be used for transactions at the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Social Security System (SSS), Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya, at Gobyerno (Pag-IBIG) Fund, and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
There are a few steps for the UMID ID application process. Here are the steps that you may follow:
Step 1 — Prepare the requirements.
Gather the documentary requirements for the UMID ID application. Make sure to have your valid IDs photocopied and to fill in the Application Form.
Step 2 — Go to the Social Security System (SSS).
Go to a branch of the Social Security System that allows walk-in applications for the Unified Multi-purpose ID card. For unscheduled visits to the SSS, it will be best to follow the coding system set by the social insurance institution:

Step 3 — Submit your documents and enroll your biometrics.
Go to the branch of SSS and submit your requirements. It is best to wear a shirt with a collar or a blouse as you will have to undergo a picture-taking for your photo in the ID. Your biometrics will also be taken. You will be given the stub after the taking of the photo and your biometrics.
Step 4 — Claim your UMID ID.
The Social Security System (SSS) will notify you within 30 days once your UMID card is ready. Make sure to bring your stub which you need to present to the state entity in claiming your ID. It must be claimed within 60 days since the update about its release.
