Due to the condition and price of pre-loved items she’s selling, Carla Abellana receives backlash
CARLA ABELLANA – Netizens have expressed their astonishment and criticism over some pre-loved items being sold by the Kapuso star on Instagram.
On her “Carla Abellana’s Closet,” she has posted several branded but pre-loved items that she is selling. Apart from the prices, netizens were shocked to see that some of the items appeared extremely old, almost damaged, and dirty.
Critics called Carla “dugyot” (dirty) because, according to them, she didn’t even bother cleaning or fixing the items before posting them for sale, and they found it surprising considering the high prices. Some even commented that better-looking shoes or bags could be bought at flea markets or thrift stores.
There are speculations that Carla might not be the one managing the posts, suggesting that her staff or even her account might have been hacked. Some doubted if it was really Carla selling these items or if someone else was using the Kapuso actress’s name.
“What’s wrong with Carla. for donations na tong mga benebenta niya. ayaw eh let go nanlillimahid na. (emoji) Nakakagulat lang parang ang linis at neat niyang babae, Tapos ganito benebenta niya,” one netizen wrote. “ay hindi malinis sa gamit.dugyot man ikaw dai carla.ikaw lang yata ung artistang nag bebenta ng gamit na wakaam lang kapwa artistang bumili.super Abused na paninda nyo po,” another commented.
Meanwhile, it was Carla herself who posted on her Instagram account about the items she was selling. “Posted more items and lowered down their prices! Shop now!” she said in her Instagram post on Monday, February 5.
According to the description on Carla Abellana’s Closet, “Shop brand new, never-been-used and pre-loved items from my very own closet!” As of now, Carla has not responded to the criticisms and comments about the pre-loved items she is selling.
