Filipino weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz won three golds at the 2020 Weightlifting World Cup in Rome on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.
Hidilyn Diaz bagged three golds in the snatch (93 kilograms), clean and jerk (119 kg), and overall lift (212 kg) in the women’s 55-kilogram division. Her dominant showing in clean and jerk allowed her to beat her competitors from Ukraine, Tunisia, and other countries.
Diaz told ABS-CBN News that there’s no time for her self-satisfaction as she still has a lot to prepare for the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Previously, she shared a video on her Instagram account about her preparations before the Weightlifting World Cup in Rome.
Hidilyn said that she can’t stop her training as she was getting closer to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
