Here’s a step-by-step process on how to set up a two-factor authentication on Reddit
HOW TO SET UP TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION ON REDDIT? – This article will teach you how to set up a two-factor authentication on the platform.
Reddit is an online social media forum platform where users share news, stories, and various other types of content.
A two-factor authentication (2FA), on the other hand, is a way to add an extra level of security whenever you log in to your account on the platform. Keep in mind that you can only enable 2FA by logging into Reddit on your computer’s web browser.
Here’s a step-by-step process on how to set up 2FA on the platform:
If you’re using a new Reddit, the first thing to do is to open Reddit and log into your account, click on your username in the top right of your screen, select “User Settings”, and click on the “Safety & Privacy” tab.
From there, you will see the “Use two-factor authentication control” under the “Advanced Security”. You need to click the toggle to on in order to enable it.
The next thing to do is to enter your password, click “Confirm”, and follow the step-by-step instructions in order to set up your two-factor authentication. Once done, you may be asked to log out and log back into your Reddit account.
If you’re using an old Reddit, you need to click “preferences” in the top right of your screen and go to the password/email tab. Under two-factor authentication, you need to select “click” to enable and enter your password, and then click “next” to proceed to the next step.
The next thing to do is to follow the step-by-step instructions in order to set up your 2FA. Once done, you may be asked to log out and log back in to your Reddit account.
Moving forward, you will need to enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app — be it Google Authenticator or Authy — every time you log in to Reddit.
