The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday gave an update on the total number of coronavirus cases in the Philippines as of today, July 13, 2020.
According to DOH’s COVID-19 Case Bulletin #121 dated July 13, 2020, the Department of Health reported 836 new coronavirus cases wherein 749 were classified as “fresh” cases and the remaining 87 were identified as “late” cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 57,006.
According to the Department of Health, the fresh cases recorded on Monday were based on its test results released to patients within the last three days, while the late cases recorded were based on the test results released to patients four days ago or more.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 4,325 new recoveries and 65 additional fatalities. This brought the total number of recoveries to 20,371 and total coronavirus deaths to 1,599.
Moreover, the Department of Health reported 35,036 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #121 dated July 13, 2020.
