Members of the Social Security System (SSS) have several loan offers to turn to in times of financial needs. One of these is the Calamity Loan offer which members can turn to in times when their area is struck by a calamity.
The Calamity Loan is offered to SSS members who are residing or working in areas declared under a State of Calamity. It aims to help members recover from the impacts of a natural disaster.
There are requirements for SSS Calamity Loan application. The documents needed depend if the one processing the loan is the member-borrower or an authorized representative.
If the member-borrower is the one applying for a loan to the Social Security System, the following documents must be submitted:
- Application Form for Calamity Loan Application (CLA) in original copy
- Barangay Certification (original copy)
- original copy of valid ID card
If the one who will process the loan is an authorized representative of a sea-based overses Filipino worker (OFW) member of the SSS, here are the requirements for SSS Calamity Loan:
- Application Form for Calamity Loan Application (CLA) in original copy
- Barangay Certification (original copy)
- Authorization Letter (original copy)
- original copy of valid ID card
- printed scanned copies of valid ID or documents of the OFW or seafarer member and present original copies of valid ID cards or documents of the authorized representative
