Cebu Residents Caught on Camera Violating Health Protocols Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Several Cebu residents were caught playing “hantak”, not wearing face masks, not observing social distancing measures.

Previously, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that Cebu City will remain under an extended enhanced community quarantine until July 15, 2020 due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 cases.

Recently, the Facebook page “CDN Digital has shared the photos of hard-headed residents in Barangay Basak Pardo in Cebu breaking the quarantine guidelines. The photos garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the photos, it can be seen that the residents were gathered playing a coin game in the area. Most of the residents were not wearing face masks and not observing the physical distancing rule.

The residents clearly violated the quarantine protocols with the aim to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease. The City Hall also summoned barangay captain Catalina Cabardo to explain the incident.
