School Guard Earns Praises Online for Serving as Bride’s Dad at Wedding Booth on Valentine’s Day
A school guard goes viral online after serving as the bride’s father at the wedding booth in Gutalac National Highschool.
School guards play an important role in ensuring the safety and security of students, teachers, and staff within the school premises. They are tasked with maintaining a safe and orderly environment, preventing unauthorized individuals from entering the school, and responding to emergencies.
They also serve as positive role models for students. They often interact with students on a daily basis, and their actions and behavior can have a significant impact on the students.
Recently, the post of Gutalac NHS Supreme Student Government (SSG) featuring a picture of their school guard escorting a bride to the altar in their wedding booth is now viral on social media.
Alver John, the SSG president of the said high school said that he took the picture on February 15, 2023 (Wednesday), the second day of their celebration of St. Valentine’s Day.
At that time, while taking pictures in their school’s photo booth, Alver heard the students cheering at the wedding booth. He went there to take pictures and noticed Kuya Jayson, their school guard, at the back of the crowd.
“He was smiling like a proud father, So I invited him to stand beside the bride for a photo, as if he were posing as her father. Everyone cheered for the both of them, so I told Kuya Jayson to walk her towards the altar, which he did without any reluctance,” Alver said.
According to Alver, he saw the bride’s smiles and laughter on her face. He and the other students felt comfortable with Kuya Jayson’s presence, as they could see the kindness that he showed.
“Kuya Jayson is really an incredible person. He knows how to vibe with the students and is super down-to-earth,” he added.
