Tally of COVID-19 cases, deaths and recoveries worldwide.
Almost 6.7 million or exactly 6,696,690 cases of coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 with 392,878 deaths have been recorded worldwide based on the tally released by AFP.
The total number of cases including deaths was registered in 196 countries and territories and according to the tally, 2,886,800 have recovered.
In a report published by GMA Network, it states that the tallies generated from the official sources of AFP and World Health Organization (WHO), “probably reflect only a fraction of the actual number of infections” following reports that many countries are only testing serious cases or symptomatic.
Among the countries leading the tally with the most number of cases is recorded in the United States of America with 1,883,656 cases, 108,708 deaths, and 485,002 recoveries.
Following the line is Britain with 283,311 cases and 40,261 deaths, Brazil with 614,941 cases and 34,021 deaths, Italy with 234,531 cases with 33,774 deaths, and France with 190,052 cases with 29,111 deaths.
Up to date, China- where the pandemic originated, has recorded 83,027 cases with 4,634 deaths and 78,327 recoveries, excluding Hong Kong and Macau.
Meanwhile, Europe has 2,237,964 cases with 82,440 deaths, the United States and Canada have 1,977,983 cases with 116,459 deaths, Latin America and the Caribbean have 1,201,871 cases with 60,540 deaths, Asia has 638,309 cases with 18,261 deaths, the Middle East has 455,923 cases with 10,172 deaths, Africa has 176,016 cases with 4,875 deaths, and Oceania has 8,632 cases with 131 deaths.
