IATF Amended the Omnibus Guidelines on the implementation of community quarantine measures in the Philippines.
The National Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) amended the Omnibus Guidelines on the implementation of community quarantine measures in the Philippines.
This, as the National Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases issued Resolution No. 38 Series of 2020 approving the amendments, revisions, or clarifications to the Omnibus Guidelines on the implementation of community quarantine measures in the Philippines.
The term “minimum health standards”, according to IATF’s Resolution No. 38 Series of 2020, was referring to the guidelines set by the Department of Health (DOH) in its Administrative Order No. 2020-0015. Also, the term “minimum health standards” was referring to the sector-relevant guidelines issued by the national government agencies.
This would help all sectors in all settings to impose non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs).
The terms “modified enhanced community quarantine” and “modified general community quarantine” was also included in the said amendments. As defined in this resolution, the term “modified enhanced community quarantine” or “MECQ” was referring to the “transition phase between ECQ and GCQ”; while the term “modified general community quarantine” or “MGCQ” was referring to the “transition phase between GCQ and the new normal”.
