A Vietnamese site posted “leaked” photos of Google Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a XL.
A Vietnamese site posted “leaked” photos of an apparently upcoming Google Pixel phone, the Google Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a, which manufactured in Vietnam.
This, as Tinhte reported that its source, who worked inside the factory that assembles the upcoming product of Google, shared photos that allegedly confirmed that the Google Pixel 4a was being manufactured in Vietnam. The said factory — which located in Vinh Phuc in Vietnam, was said to be run by a Taiwanese company.
According to Gizmochina’s source, the Pixel production of Google was moved from Taiwan — including the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line that was used in producing PCB (motherboard) for its modern electronic devices.
The said photos presented that there were two different models available in black and white. As reported on Gizmochina, Google’s upcoming smartphones — with codenames “Blembe” and “Sunfish” — have different sizes, camera modules, and materials used in producing these phones.
The Vietnamese site also reported that the number of Pixel 4a installed in Vietnam was “only a few hundred per week”, although Google’s upcoming smartphone has yet to launch officially.
As per the report, the Google Pixel 4a was expected to accept orders starting May 22. However, the first sale has been rescheduled to June 5. In addition, the Pixel 4a would have a lower price tag compared to Apple’s iPhone SE 2020.
