Dr. Manny Calayan Shares Why His Marriage with Dra. Pie Fell Apart
DR. MANNY CALAYAN – A dermatologist and cosmetic doctor shared details about the end of his marriage with his wife and business partner, Dra. Pie Calayan, during an interview where he discussed the reasons behind their separation.
He explained that their relationship gradually became strained due to frequent disagreements and growing differences in personality and lifestyle. Over time, repeated conflicts and unresolved issues led to emotional distance between them, even before they officially separated.
He said their situation worsened when Dra. Pie went abroad with their children, resulting in a long period of living apart for about five years. During this time, their relationship became emotionally distant, and communication weakened further. Manny admitted that he later developed feelings for another woman, which eventually became known to his wife. When Dra. Pie returned to the country, she confirmed the situation after directly confronting him.

Despite this, the couple did not separate immediately and continued living together for several more years, although their relationship had already become emotionally cold. Manny shared that their connection changed significantly during this period, as they were no longer functioning as a close couple. He also acknowledged that his lifestyle changed while they were apart, which contributed to further complications in their relationship.
Manny said his relationship with the other woman, a vlogger who had been a patient at their clinic, lasted for around three years before it ended. He clarified that the relationship did not result in a child. Although their marriage remains legally valid, no annulment has been filed, and they remain married on paper.

Even though they are no longer a couple, Manny and Pie continue to work together as business partners in their cosmetic clinic brand, which has branches in Makati and Alabang. However, they no longer communicate or meet in person and intentionally avoid each other by following separate clinic schedules. Their communication is now facilitated through their daughter, who helps manage the business operations.
Manny said he does not expect a reconciliation, noting that the emotional distance between them has become too deep and their issues remain unresolved.
