Arshie Larga Provides Fuel Aid to Over 1,100 Tricycle Drivers

Arshie Larga Helps Tricycle Drivers Amid Rising Fuel Prices

ARSHIE LARGA – The content creator showed his support for his local community by providing financial assistance to tricycle drivers in Boac, Marinduque, who are struggling with rising fuel prices.

On Easter Sunday, April 5, he launched a simple yet meaningful initiative that provided ₱500 worth of fuel assistance to more than 1,100 drivers. The program was later extended the following day, reaching a total of 1,169 beneficiaries. This effort aimed to ease the daily burden of transportation workers who depend heavily on fuel to earn a living.

Larga explained that the continuous increase in fuel prices has affected many people, but drivers are among the most impacted since their income depends directly on fuel costs. He shared that the opportunity to help came from the support he receives online, and he wanted to give back in a practical way. His goal was to offer immediate relief, even on a small scale, to those who need it most. He also clarified that the initiative was purely intended to help others and is not connected to any political plans. For him, anyone can make a difference, even without holding a government position, as long as there is a genuine desire to help.

He also expressed gratitude to his supporters and to local gas station owners who assisted in distributing the fuel aid. Their cooperation made it possible to carry out the project smoothly and reach more drivers.

Larga first became popular through his online content focused on medicine tips and health information. Over time, he gained millions of followers across social media and was even recognized in Forbes Asia’s “30 Under 30” list in 2024.

Meanwhile, the rise in fuel prices is largely driven by global factors, particularly increasing tensions in the Middle East involving countries like Iran, the United States, and Israel. Conflicts in this region affect oil supply and create uncertainty in the global market, which leads to higher fuel prices in many countries, including the Philippines.
