Alvin Aragon Lambasts Jamie Rivera
ALVIN ARAGON – The former actor made controversial remarks claiming that members of the LGBTQ+ community would go to hell.
Earlier, renowned singer Jamie Rivera explained in an interview that she believes LGBTQ+ individuals can go to heaven, based on her own experiences in the music industry.
She recounted that when she was starting her career, she received significant support from members of the LGBTQ+ community. She mentioned Bhoy Navarette, a makeup artist who assisted her for free when she could not afford services, as well as her former road managers and companions on provincial tours, many of whom were part of the LGBTQ+ community.

“I only have gratitude and great respect for the LGBT community… They protected me. So what is there to judge if you are surrounded by angels? Sila ‘yung mga tumulong sa akin. So for me, they will go to heaven,” she said.

She also remembered the designer who provided her with costumes in the early stages of her career. Rivera referred to these individuals as her “angels” and emphasized that those who genuinely care for others deserve a place in heaven. She expressed deep gratitude and respect for the LGBTQ+ community, noting that their support had been essential to her success.
In response, Aragon posted on Facebook defending his position, stating that good deeds alone, without faith in Jesus Christ, are insufficient for salvation. He emphasized that helping others does not guarantee entry into heaven without belief in Christ. He reiterated his view that LGBTQ+ individuals, regardless of their acts of kindness, would face eternal separation from God if they do not have faith. He also cited the Bible, asserting that human actions without Christ are like “dirty rags,” warning that wealth, fame, or good works cannot replace faith and repentance.
