Topacio Slams Jasmine Curtis-Smith: “Ba’t ka nagpo-post ng bikini pictures?”
FERDINAND TOPACIO – The lawyer criticized actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith after she reacted to Bong Suntay’s controversial comment about actress Anne Curtis.
Suntay caused public outrage when he admitted during a congressional hearing on the impeachment complaint against Sara Duterte that he felt attracted to Anne Curtis and imagined certain situations in his mind. Many people, including Anne’s family and fans, criticized him for the inappropriate remarks.
Topacio defended Suntay, saying that simply thinking about desire, lust, or imagining sexual acts is not a crime. He explained that imagining things like kissing or touching someone does not break the law.
After defending Suntay, Topacio turned his criticism to Jasmine Curtis-Smith during his radio show. He questioned why she and other celebrities post revealing photos online, suggesting that bikini pictures are meant to get attention and boost popularity. Topacio said that posting such photos naturally attracts viewers and admiration and implied that Jasmine’s complaint of being offended was inconsistent with the intention behind sharing the images. He also mentioned other actresses, like Ivana Alawi, saying their posts get attention because of their looks and sex appeal.
He remarked: “‘Yong kapatid, bumanat pa. Si Jasmine Curtis na parang binabastos daw ‘yong kapatid niya, hindi raw tama. Kayong mga artista, mga ganyan, ikaw, Jasmine, bakit ka nagpo-post ng bikini pictures mo sa social media, sa mga pahayagan—hindi ba para ikaw ay pagnasahan, para ikaw ay sumikat?”
“‘Yong mga artista diyan, sina Ivana Alawi, bakit sila nagpo-post, ‘di ba para [sa] views? Bakit sila tinitingnan? Magandang babae, sexy, pinagnanasahan ng mga lalaki. Straight talk. Puro tayo plastikan dito, e. ‘Yan ang hirap sa mga Pilipino, puro plastic, e,” he stressed.
Jasmine responded on her social media, clearly frustrated and shocked at Topacio’s comments: “YOWWWWW WHAT THE ACTUAL ????? WHAT THE!!!! DUGYOT KA!”
