Rumors about the relationship between Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde have recently spread across social media after netizens questioned their current status. The issue started when Maine was absent from a family gathering of the Ataydes, which many considered an important occasion.
The speculation began after Bayani Agbayani posted a now-deleted TikTok video showing the birthday celebration of Ria Atayde and their father, Art Atayde. In the video, the Atayde family appeared complete, but viewers quickly noticed that Maine was missing. This led many online users to wonder if there was a problem between her and Arjo.
“HIWALAY NA BA SILA ARJO AT MAINE? Sa TikTok post ni Bayani Agbayani kagabi. Complete ang mga Atayde para sa bday celeb nila Ria at Mr.Arturo minus Maine Mendoza. Siya lang ang wala,” a netizen wrote.
As the video circulated, discussions grew online. Some netizens linked the situation to a viral blind item about a well-known couple allegedly breaking up, which added more attention to the issue. However, supporters of the couple defended them and said that being absent from one event is not enough proof of a breakup. They explained that there could be simple and valid reasons for not attending, and that assumptions should not be made quickly.
Despite the ongoing rumors, neither Maine nor Arjo has released any statement to confirm or deny the claims. Because of this, the situation remains unclear, and most of the information online is based only on speculation.
The couple got married in July 2023 in a private ceremony in Baguio City. As of now, there is no confirmed report that they have separated, and the rumors remain unverified.
