LTO Hunts Motorcycle Rider for ‘Superman’ Stunt in Negros

‘Superman’ Motorcycle Rider on the Run

KAMOTE RIDER – A motorcycle rider in Don Salvador Benedicto drew the attention of the Land Transportation Office – Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) after performing a dangerous “Superman-style” stunt on a public highway.

Videos and photos that have gone viral online show the rider lying flat on his motorcycle while moving at high speed, an act authorities described as extremely reckless. This behavior endangers not only the rider’s life but also the safety of other motorists, passengers, and pedestrians sharing the road. The LTO-NIR stressed that public highways are meant for safe travel, not for performing stunts or thrill-seeking maneuvers.

Led by Officer-in-Charge Regional Director Jeck D. Conlu and supported by the agency’s Intelligence and Investigation Unit, the LTO-NIR formally directed the rider to immediately present himself and his motorcycle at the nearest district office for investigation and verification. Officials warned that failure to comply voluntarily may result in the issuance of a Show Cause Order, which could lead to legal and administrative proceedings. These actions are intended to hold violators accountable and prevent similar incidents in the future.

The agency also appealed to the public for assistance, encouraging anyone with information about the rider’s identity or whereabouts to coordinate with the nearest LTO district office. Authorities emphasized that community cooperation is vital to promoting road safety and effectively enforcing traffic laws.

The LTO-NIR reiterated its commitment to maintaining order and discipline among all road users in the region. Officials reminded everyone that responsible driving is essential for protecting lives, reducing accidents, and ensuring roads remain safe for all. By taking swift action against reckless behavior and encouraging public participation, the agency aims to reinforce a culture of safety and accountability on highways, ensuring that thrill-seeking stunts do not endanger ordinary commuters.
