Anne Curtis Gets Support from Janine Gutierrez After Disrespect Incident
JANINE GUTIERREZ – The actress strong disapproval over the recent actions of Quezon City 4th District Representative Bong Suntay toward Anne Curtis.
According to Janine, the congressman’s behavior was clearly disrespectful and offensive, particularly because it occurred during a formal congressional hearing. She described the incident as both upsetting and inappropriate, emphasizing that such remarks should never be made, especially by someone holding public office.
Janine noted that the comments were disturbing to hear and stressed that men, especially politicians, should be reminded that this type of behavior is unacceptable. She hopes the incident serves as a reminder for public figures to respect women and recognize the harm caused by offensive language or harassment.
“Sobrang nakakagalit. Kadiri for that to be even said out loud anywhere more so to be said in a place of power and public office. So, siyempre ang sama talaga pakinggan. And hopefully, this serves as a lesson to all other men, politicians to be reminded that, that is not acceptable,” she said.
At the same time, Janine praised Anne Curtis for her response to the situation. She admired Anne’s courage and conviction in standing her ground, not only defending herself but also speaking up on behalf of all women who have experienced similar treatment. Janine highlighted that Anne used the incident as an opportunity to raise awareness and advocate for women’s rights. She expressed full support for Anne and commended her for addressing disrespectful behavior in a public and professional setting.
“I really admire what she said, na anuman yung nangyari sa kanya sabi niya it’s not just about her. She really used her platform para magsalita in behalf of all the women who experienced these things. Siyempre, we’re all behind her,” she said.
