During the discussion, Congressman Suntay used Anne Curtis as an example while explaining his point and mentioned that he felt a strong attraction toward the actress because of her beauty. The comment quickly spread online and sparked criticism from the public, with many saying the remark was inappropriate, especially since it was made during an official government hearing.
As the issue gained attention, several celebrities also spoke out. Actress Glaiza de Castro said that comments like this are not appropriate, whether they come from a public official or an ordinary person.
