Phillip Salvador Denies Speaking Against Bong Revilla

Phillip Salvador Slams Fake News About Bong Revilla

PHILLIP SALVADOR – The veteran actor-turned-senator firmly denied claims that he spoke against former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and strongly condemned a piece of fake news circulating on YouTube that allegedly aimed to damage their friendship.

The false content, uploaded by a content creator based in the United States, made it appear as though Salvador had commented on Revilla’s supposed surrender and imprisonment over alleged involvement in flood control project anomalies. The video falsely presented statements suggesting that Salvador accused Revilla of wrongdoing in the past and hinted at hidden motives behind his actions.

However, Salvador made it clear that these statements were completely fabricated and that he never made any such remarks. He emphasized that he has not given media interviews for a long time and has especially avoided making public comments about Revilla.

The actor expressed disappointment and sadness over how some content creators continue to spread lies online, saying such actions harm reputations and destroy lives. He criticized the practice of hiding behind disclaimers that claim the content is only for entertainment, pointing out that these notices appear to be used as protection in case of legal consequences.

Despite such disclaimers, he stressed that the damage caused by false information remains serious and unfair. Salvador, who is known to be close to former President Rodrigo Duterte, openly rejected the invented story and called attention to the dangers of misinformation on social media.

“For entertainment purposes lang daw pero naninira siya and they need to make a disclosure for lawsuits, just in case. Grabe ang tao na ito,” he said.

He urged the public to stay alert, be careful, and think critically before believing or sharing anything they see or read online. According to him, people should not support channels or individuals who spread unverified claims and harmful content for views and attention.
