Ejay Falcon: “Hindi po ako nakadalaw sa kanya sa kulungan”
EJAY FALCON – The actor clarified his side after receiving heavy criticism online over statements linked to former Senator Bong Revilla.
The issue began when parts of an interview were shared and interpreted differently, leading some people to believe that he had visited Revilla in jail and was defending him. Because the misunderstanding quickly spread, Ejay decided to speak up to correct the false information and explain what he truly meant.
The interview took place during the story conference of the film Kappa-tiran, where he was asked about Revilla, whom he previously worked with in the action-comedy series Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis. Ejay shared that Revilla helped train him in action scenes and treated him well as a co-actor. However, he made it clear that he did not give any opinion about the former senator’s legal case because he believes he is not in the right position to judge matters he does not fully understand.
He explained that his earlier statement was simply an expression of concern. He mentioned that since Revilla is both an actor and a former government official, it is natural to wonder how someone used to that kind of life might adjust to the difficult conditions inside jail. He stressed that this was not meant to defend or support him, but only a general observation. At the same time, Ejay said he believes that anyone proven responsible for corruption should be held accountable, because the real victims are the Filipino people and the next generation.
He also strongly denied the rumor that he visited Revilla in jail. According to him, he has never gone to the detention facility and does not have a close personal relationship with the former senator. They only worked together on a television project in the past. Ejay said he was surprised to see posts and articles claiming that he visited Revilla or asked for his release, because he never made such statements.
