Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano Gives Advice to Alvin Aragon

Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano Has a Reminder for Alvin Aragon

ANGELI PANGILINAN-VALENCIANO – The wife of Gary Valenciano shared her advice regarding the controversial statements made by Alvin Aragon about the SexBomb Girls and their spouses.

Alvin faced criticism online for being judgmental and overly forceful in questioning why some members’ husbands allowed their wives to perform at the SexBomb concert. He also drew attention for citing Bible verses about homosexuality and expressing opposition to the gender transition of Izzy Trazona’s child, who identifies as a transwoman named Sofia.

In an exclusive conversation with PEP, Angeli explained that much of Alvin’s backlash comes from how he delivers his message rather than the content itself. As a born-again Christian, she compared his approach to her own earlier years in faith, admitting she, too, used to be outspoken and blunt when pointing out what she believed was wrong according to the Bible. She emphasized that there is a proper time, place, and manner for expressing one’s beliefs, and sharing the word of God without wisdom or sensitivity can easily offend or hurt others.

Angeli further illustrated her point by referring to her husband, Gary Valenciano, who is also a born-again Christian. As a seasoned artist and Christian leader, Gary carefully considered his participation in the SexBomb concert. Under Angeli’s guidance as his manager and CEO of Manila Genesis Entertainment, Gary performed a Christian-inspired song, ensuring that his message was gentle, positive, and uplifting without directly preaching to the audience. This approach, she noted, contrasts with Alvin’s blunt public criticism, which she felt was insensitive and disregarded the feelings of other Christians involved, including members of the SexBomb group.

Angeli believes that Alvin’s actions reflect his current stage in spiritual growth, suggesting that he is still learning how to communicate his faith with grace and consideration. She encouraged him to focus on Christ rather than trying to please the public or respond to online criticism.
